The Direct Healthcare Professional Communication (DHPC) is a cost-effective and comprehensive way to reach a wide range of healthcare professionals to promote correct and safe use of pharmaceuticals. We transmit authority-approved DHPC communication and important risk minimization materials on your behalf effectively and effortlessly.
With our service you will reach physicians and other health care professionals (e.g. pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and medicine centers) digitally and via mail, as well as in Pharmaca Fennica services in conjunction with other pharmaceutical information.

We work together with Lääkärikompassi Oy that is exclusively owned by the Finnish Medical Association (FMA). With our DHPC service you have access to Lääkärikompassi's physicians address database, which includes both e-mails and postal addresses. This reliable database is based on the FMA member register that represents 92 % of physicians living in Finland.

Contact us as soon as the need to a direct healthcare communication about pharmacovigilance has arisen in a conversation with the authorities. At first, we need to know the subject of the statement, target group and the estimated date for delivery. With this information we can make an offer about the service. The actual DHPC can be sent to us closer to the scheduled delivery time.
The pricing of the service is step-wise and depends on e.g.
• the number of recipients
• the number of documents delivered by email or post
• the number of pages and whether they are coloured or in black and white print
• the schedule (whether the communication is urgent)
The target group of physicians is defined by the speciality of the physicians, in addition, physicians’ special competences can be used as a delimitation criterion. See the list here.
We cover all aspects of DHPC communication:
• collecting required address information
• printing the letter and/or producing an email version
• delivering the letters and emails to a specified target group
Send the DHPC and risk management material to our production as a pdf-file. The material can contain the company logo and the signatures of persons in charge. We recommend creating the pdf-file directly from the original file (i.e. not scanned) to ensure high quality printing results.
DHPC communications regarding products with several marketing authorization holders are distributed between the companies as per agreement. We report the recipients of the DHPC to the commissioner of the communication after sending. We don’t disclose contact information to third parties.
